The
Battle
Inside

Leukemia sucks, especially for young people.
It affects thousands of kids and teenagers, and about 40,000 people die from it every year.
Right now, the best way to beat it is through research and raising awareness.
So, we came up with an idea to get young folks involved and raise money for research. We thought, where do young people spend most of their time? Video games, of course! That's how
"The Battle inside" was born.
We took one of the bloodiest games ever, "DOOM ETERNAL," and made a mod out of it.
But instead of death, we turned it into a fight for life. We hacked the game and transformed the enemies into the real threats faced by leukemia patients—viruses, fungi, and bacteria.
We battled against them until they were defeated, turning the game into an immersive experience.

But to win such an important battle,
we needed a big army.
So, we reached out to famous streamers,
the ones everyone knows, who got on board and brought in more players.
They live-streamed their battles, spreading our message to young people all over the world.
The results so far have been amazing. "The Battle Inside" has reached over
18 million impressions and
2.5 million views. We've had more than
30 hours of live gameplay on Twitch, and visits to the Cris Foundation website have increased by 800%.
For the first time ever, we transformed DOOM from a game about taking lives to a game about saving lives.
